Keith Miller – Chef Manager
Chef Manager Keith is a chef by training and has worked in the food industry all his life. He has a love of cooking that covers all aspects of his chosen profession. Most recently Keith was Executive Development Chef for a large food producer, but his career has included 15 years as chef lecturer at York College, as well as hotels and restaurants in Europe and the UK. Keith has considerable knowledge and experience which he is keen to share. He has visited and studied the foods of France, Germany, Spain, North Africa, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and South Africa. His passion at the moment is Nordic cuisine and the use of natural and foraged ingredients, possibly encouraged by his son who is second chef at Noma Restaurant in Copenhagen, recently voted the best restaurant in the world.
Keith is a Commandeur de la Comanderie des Cordons Bleus de France - an honour bestowed on him by the gastronomes of Dijon following work he did in Dijon and York as part of the Twin city activities. He has also represented the United Kingdom in an international culinary competition at the Foire Internationale et Gastronomique de Dijon and was awarded the Diplome D’Honneur.
Keith is the owner of The Proper Food Company, food consultancy and fine dining personal chef service.
