Matt Carter
Matt has been in the catering industry for 22 years gaining experience in all aspects of the catering and hospitality sector. Having worked for some of the country’s top chefs during his training including Gary Rhodes at Whitehall, Mark Nolan (Intercontinental Park Lane) at Downhall Hertfordshire, Andrew Bennett at the award winning Sopwell House in St.Albans, Danesfield House in Marlow, Sheraton International Park Lane and Buckingham Palace and most recently on recipe development for Gordon Ramsay.
Matt currently works as Development Chef and covers a whole host of cuisines from around the world. He has gained invaluable experience in some of the world’s most popular cuisines including Italian, Indian, Chinese, Thai & Moroccan. His most recent launch has seen him working with top Michelin starred chefs and Comic Relief to create the ‘Seriously Good’ Range of cooking sauces.
Matt has lived in York with his wife and 2 children for 11 years, has presented at the York Food Festival and won the York Chef of the Year Competition in 2001, he would love the opportunity to pass on his experience and knowledge to anyone who wants to learn more about food and how to combine the best ingredients to create some exciting new dishes from quick suppers to dinner parties.
